How does the visual appearance change the keyboard interaction? You
could use the same keypresses with or without a separator, namely:
- press left or right to focus the button, then Enter
- use an accelerator key (Alt+E or Alt+J)


(Did my attached mockup get through? I'm having problems with the size
limit for posts in the list).
