Although I agree. I'd go one further.  I'd have a hair-line divider between 
the device description and the eject button, hinting that there is actually a 
separate function for the eject, and it's not part of the description, if you 
see what I mean. :-)  I don't actually see what dimming it does achieve.

In 4.4.1 there is the addition of a plug icon when the device is umounted, 
which gives the oft-requested funcionality of mounting without opening 
dolphin.  However, that is a less commonly recognsed symbol.  I feel that by 
adding the simple dividingline, so that people can see that one icon replaces 
the other, it would be more obviously a toggle.
