Really? The apps remain untouched and so as inconsistent as ever. Note that 
the original poster was referring to 'consistency among apps'.

So how has KDE improve that consistency _among_ apps? The defaults are there 
to make an app accessible, not useable. You are now creating more work for 
all app developers because they have to rework their defaults, which is 
unnecessary because users can change the defaults anyway.
