This does not change a thing in this discussion because we are trying 
to figure out smart behaviour while _switching_ profiles, not the one 
fixed to one mode. In other words -- find an algorithm which would 
select the best choice from both worlds.

See above. Again, this does not change a thing when switching from 
profile to profile.

Both options are really downgrading, it is possible to make the 
behaviour smarter so I opt for taking that chance and provide 
power-daemon which sticks to the configured plans (profiles) but on 
the other hand it takes into account current (on-fly) changes.

As I often repeat -- let the computer do the computer job. Humans have 
too little time to be bothered with automatic stuff.

I believe I described such algorithm, which minimizes chance of error, 
and keeps in mind preserving batteries.

Please, show me any counter-example when my algorithm fails, then:
a) I will agree with you
b) we will discuss such case and figure out better approach
