Hi,

this list is for discussion about user interface decisions affecting usability.
The issues you report seem to me more like bug reports or whishlist items.
Please go over to

http://bugs.kde.org

and report them there (or look if someone already reported them. For example

https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=169130

Best wishes,

Benno.

| I've just upgraded my Linux Mint. I'm now running the Hardy Heron Ubuntu
| base under Mint. I installed KDE4 yesterday. Very different. Here's some
| issues I've run into:
|
| 1) It upgraded my kernel (unless the updater did that), which broke the
| Cisco vpn. But that's another issue. (Work around is to boot to 2.6.24-19
| kernel)
|
| 2) No way to change the font size in the digital clock, which becomes
| useless should you have a widescreen laptop and choose to put the panel on
| the left or right side.
|
| 3) Certain fonts chosen for the digital clock, cause the panel to wrap
| around to the top of the window from the bottom. Quite bizarre. Trying to
| reduce the real estate of the panel causes graphic display issues (white
| bar underneath, too tiny icons, too huge icons, etc).
|
| 4) Hiding the toolbars and menubar in the new KRDC interface, leaves no
| way to restore them, unless this is in some unknown FAQ somewhere, and the
| documentation for KRDC doesnt' even cover this.
