I think it would be nice with a combobox with some of the "common" zooms (50 %, 100 % etc.). If you've used Live Messenger, the "personal message" widget in the contact list gives a fairly good picture of my vision. You can see a screenshot here , where the widget displays the text "". Well, it's kind of like Facebook's "status" widget too. I'll try my best to explain it. Normally, it looks like a label with a arrow next to it. If you press the arrow, it shows a list (like a combobox). If you click on the text instead, it let's you input some text (like it currently does). I'm not sure if the combobox function is needed here (although I personally would like it). More importantly, why do you have to right click to edit the value? If you've used Live Messenger, the "personal message" widget in the contact list  gives a fairly good picture of my vision. You can see a screenshot here, where the widget displays the text "<Type a personal message>". Well, it's kind of like Facebook's "status" widget too.
