except users that prefer the keyboard or that must use the keyboard. i see no 
harm in this feature and there are benefits to it. the reason for numbers is 
that the buttons are dynamic which makes shortcut collisions more difficult 
to avoid; we do have the accel assigner now in kdelibs which may actually 
help here. but keeping the accels visible is important.

this isn't a complete assessment. one can have tidy menus on a program that 
does nothing (making is useless), or menus that are insanely complex making 
the application too difficult to navigate to be comfortable (a problem often 
cited with konqueror). one can also have menus somewhere in between. not sure 
that kaffeine suffers here.

agreed. kaffeine does suffer from "doing too much"
