Yes, that was a bit exagerrated. In most cases, the visual design of the
interface is less balanced due to no/incorrect use a spacing, but there are
also areas of the interface that look less prettier in Qt than in GTK+ such
as default spacing between certain elements and proportions of buttons for
example. Nothing huge anyway.
