Hi, when I drag a file from a Konqueror to another konqueror and drop it, the
file is placed ordered but the window is not scrolled to show the user the
location of the droped file.
In fact, the new file should be selected and the window scrolled to show it.
I've seen this problem in many users when moving or coping files from a window
to other one. They expect the new file to be selected and visible, but when
the destiny window is small or contain many files the user simply doesn't
know what has happened, so they try to move or copy the file again (and the
unexpecting warning appears about "overwriting the existing file").
The same bug occurs when renaming a file, it just dissapears and goes to the
new position but the window is not scrolled.
I think this is an usability problem of KDE which makes the normal use of this
desktop hard sometimes.
I reported a bug about it 8 mounths ago with still no response or
confirmation:
http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=110902
I think it's an important issue, what do you think?
Regards.
Iņaki
