Hi,

Do you used a GNOME environment or started NetworkManager from the KMenu?
SuSe 10.0 were using NetworkManager OR KInternet instead if you were using 
KDE.
And KInternet is way broken too.

Anyway, with Solid, I hope there will be a KDE Network Manager.
It would at least be a proof-of-concept for Solid, and at most useful :)
