just wanted to let you know that i did notice your email and read it through. 
however, with 3.4 coming up it's a bit hard for me to spend the time 
something like this deserves. since we're in a string and feature freeze 
anyways, i suppose this is for after 3.4? we could look at it together then 
perhaps. =)
