not implemented does not mean "never considered". George (pmax) just recently 
implemented a wish for kmail that was at least as old as this wish; he'd 
wanted the feature for quite some time, and it made great sense, but it just 
never made it onto anyone's priority list (including his own =) until after 
3.4 devel!
