Considering how preposterous this particular discussion is this would 
come as no surprise...

Complains about some apps being in distributions and others not is 
something which should be directed to the respective distributors, if 
e.g. Debian can do that why not any other distribution as well. As 
for what's in KDE's CVS, the CVS server is a place for developers to 
work at, not for users to find some kind of "golden" selection.
