I think a nice option would be if you could somehow distinguish between whats 
on each desktop easily, such as being able to color each task based on there 
desktop (all tasks on the taskbar which reside on desktop 1 are blue, desktop 
2 are red, etc; have this configurable).  Maybe if not like that, at least 
make it easily noticable which are on your current desktop by fading the 
others quite significantly, as there is already a difference showing between 
inactive and your active window.

I posted a wishlist (#63184) on bugs.kde.org with some suggestions on how to 
make the taskbar more usable when all tasks are shown.  I also created a mock 
screenshot of an idea showing a small preview of the app with more 
information on the mouseover tooltip (such as what desktop that app resides 
on, etc).  The preview would be difficult I presume, but I did notice that 
the KasBar has this (somewhat).  I do like how the KasBar hands things 
though, mainly by showing you the number of the desktop where that app 
resides.
