AIM also does this if you use shift-enter.  The fun thing is if you do the 
coloring of your second line correctly you can make it look like the person 
on the other end of the conversation said something that you said!

Ya, really. Konqueror doesn't cater to Gopher users (in fact, it doesn't even 
implement Gopher), even though Gopher came before the Web (and was cool). 

Actually I don't know anyone who really uses ICQ anymore.  The main IM system 
in the U.S., from my observation, is AIM, then Yahoo and MSN.  I don't know 
about other countries.
