In all the hoopla not a single soul mentioned the obvious. What if you stepped away to do something right when the kdesu password dialog popped up ? There is a very good chance you might not remember what that prompt is for when you get back to it. The standard message of the kdesud password prompt shows: "The action you requested needs root privileges. Please enter root's password or click Ignore to continue with your current privileges."
