Hi

Firebird..

I was talking about firebird popup features a few days back but didnt
catch up on it.

When firebird blocks a popup for the first time (default setting blocks
popup), it informs the user that the popup is being blocked and one can
click on the blue icon on the bottom left to unblock it. The latest
builds also has a easy way to switch themes. It might be worth the time
if konqueror developers or users use firebird for sometime and check out
if it has some stuff thats better than konqueror is at the moment. This
is not just for firebird and konqueror. If you guys use alternative
desktops- windows, mac ,gnome etc for sometime everyday you might get
ideas for improving kde.

Thunderbird..

I have a menu in thunderbird with the following options

All
unread
----
important
work
personal
to do
later
-----
people i know
recent email
last 5 days
not junk
has attachments
-------
customize

This menu is a very convenient feature that kmail doesnt have AFAIK.

Toolbar...

Toolbars in kde should have the text under icons enabled by default and
the text should be small enough to accomodate around 7 icons. More than
that in a application should be reconsidered

freedesktop.org compatibility...

I was using xfce for sometime and I use knotes quite frequently. I find
that while kopete, gaim and other apps do dock properly, knotes and a
few other apps do not. Is this fixed in 3.2?. I would recommed a
freedesktop.org page which talks about the status of kde regarding
compatibility with what is being done at fd.o. I understand that fd.o
isnt some kind of standards body but interoperability is a very
important thing. Cooperating with other free deskops through fd.o is a
practical way to do this.

Please consider these things

Thanks
Rahul Sundaram
