True. But unlike Apple we do not rewrite existing Unix software to make it 
configurable by GUI tools. 

I would even agree that this would be useful, but we're not there yet (and 
won't be in the next 2 years). Part of the reason is, of course, either the 
lack of interest of the maintainers of daemons to make it more easily 
controllable by other applications, especially GUI tools. The rest is that 
nobody is working on it...
