I'm pretty sure Mac OS X ships with GUI controls for everything on the 
system, and authors of third-party apps for the OS write UIs, too.  Can 
you guarantee the same for every OS KDE runs on?

Note that as soon as a Mac OS X user wants to *use* the unix environment 
available, instead of just running Mac OS X, he will need a console the 
same as everyone else.  So the comparison between Mac OS X and Unix really 
isn't valid.
