So how many mail have you accidently moved to trash and not noticed what
you have done? I do not know how many I have lost - none to several.

Pressing a 'D' is not an unusual event. And not one that I worry much about.
When I press 'Del' and nothing happens - I start to wonder, where did that go?
Not so for 'D'. The situation where 'KD' has been pressed is noticeable -
empty directory. But with only one mail missing?

Another solution would be to have two separate trash cans - one for filtered
deletes and the other for manual.

I rather see people that like 'D' change to it from a good default like 'Del'.
They are usually experienced enough to know that stuff accidently deleted
might have ended up in trash.
