And to combine that with the sidebar-picture if it's activated without makin' it looking cluttered. I think, the difficulty to read the menu items could be solved in one or another way. For instance, the dark rectangle under "quickstart" could be coded with some "make it darker than the actual color"-code, like they do it with the icons. (blue -> dark blue, red would become dark red and so on) Or, second, the stripes Sander Devrieze mentions in the mail above could easily be changed by changing the sidebar-pic. Third, one could use the new text-shadow-code from the "Desktop" or whatever. I can't code, so my mail was only an idea to throw in.
