Okay, I played around a little bit with different choices of marking finished todos visually.=20 Possibly choices are: -) Strike the items out (my original patch): http://reinhold.kainhofer.com/Linux/pictures/KOrganizer_FinishedTodos.png -) draw them in a lighter color (or darker color on a dark bg): http://reinhold.kainhofer.com/Linux/pictures/KOrganizer_FinishedTodosStrike= Out6.png -) draw finished todos in italics: http://reinhold.kainhofer.com/Linux/pictures/KOrganizer_FinishedTodos7.png -) italics and strike out: http://reinhold.kainhofer.com/Linux/pictures/KOrganizer_FinishedTodosStrike= Out2.png -) draw them in a smaller font: http://reinhold.kainhofer.com/Linux/pictures/KOrganizer_FinishedTodosStrike= Out5.png -) smaller font and strike out: http://reinhold.kainhofer.com/Linux/pictures/KOrganizer_FinishedTodosStrike= Out4.png Personally, I like the second possibility better (light gray, as suggested by danimo). One problem, however, is that in that case we need to find a good way to determine a color, which still shows good contrast to all background colors. I'm in no way an expert on this, so I'd need some help to determine a color that contrasts to both the bg color and the alternating bg color of the list view, and still looks less important than the text color. In the default color scheme(s), these colors are white and very light gray, and black text. But the user is free to choose whatever color he likes better... Another issue with the gray color is that some users might think that these todos are disabled. What do you think?
