Perhaps if you combined "realtime priority" with the note, it would be
OK. This also has the advantage of using the correct term - so if they
read somewhere else, "you need to enable 'realtime priority' for your
sound server", they'll know that this can be done with the control
panel.

Jargon words are tricky. If you use them, you can confuse people; if you
don't use them, you run the risk of having 15 different words for the
same thing. E.g. root can be "administrator" or "superuser" or "root"
...

Perhaps the ideal would be to have an automatic context help facility,
maybe even embedded in i18n. So when you wrote i18n("save HTTP settings
until next session") it would add little hyperlinks for HTTP and
session, that would popup context explanations....
