As I said in a previous message to this list, my school is adopting KDE as 
default desktop. We made usability studies in order to choose a  default 
configuration for KDE here, and after listening many users, we decided on 
Glow for windec, and dotNET for style. I, personally, do not like this very 
much, but it was based on what users said. Maybe we should do more usability 
studies in order to choose the defaults. This is a very delicate discussion, 
as every one seems to have different preferences. Let us not transform this 
into an "I like this..." thread.
