I'll throw in my lit match by saying: Yes, I agree that Keramik, while 
cool eye-candy, is not good for daily use. I think that the default 
style for KDE definitely needs to change for 3.2.

However, what that style will be is also going to be a hot topic. I 
don't agree with the original poster's suggestion of dotNET and MKUltra. 
dotNET is uninspiring; I find the Alloy style to be much nicer and easy 
on the eye: http://www.kde-look.org/content/show.php?content=6390, the 
second screenshot has a better colour scheme than the first. The MKUltra 
window decoration style is even worse. The buttons are tiny and hard to 
see and it looks ugly to me. A window decoration style like 
kwin_3dnomore (http://www.kde-look.org/content/show.php?content=4213) or 
Glow (http://www.kde-look.org/content/show.php?content=5575) are more to 
my liking. The original Highcolor window decoration style is still good too.
