There I installed an other filemanager than windows explorer (don't remember its name). This one was able to display packed archives on the left window between the folders; klicking it displayed the contents in the right pane. In Konqueror, packed files also can directly be browsed, but only by klicking on the right window, they aren't displayed in the folders view. Or let's have a view to gwenview; you work with three panes like in some MUAs: One displays the folders, an other the files and a third the previews. But this means that Konqueror will get a new further view mode: Browsing, file manager, embedded. This makes sense, and divides the different needs of different users in different apps. regards ce ====== SuSE 8.0 on a Dell Inspiron 8200: http://home.t-online.de/home/mchristoph.eckert/inspiron8200/ ====== -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.0.6 (GNU/Linux) Comment: For info see http://www.gnupg.org iD8DBQE+XTQmwl5BpgWy4BMRAsjnAJ90/rO3izzS3956LrTzg9J+szoCVQCdEmKm KoW4ROA+0U0jiwwbEsbP/vc= =si2n -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- _______________________________________________ kde-usability mailing list kde-usability@mail.kde.org http://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/kde-usability
