I wonder if anyone else has noticed this difficulty for any newbie.

Changing the fonts of the desktop became too difficult. And that's something
people often do whenever they change the wallpaper. See the necesssary steps:

1) Get into control panel-> Fonts, and set the font type. (This step sounds
logical to me)
2) Close control panel
3) Right click on the Desktop, and choose "Configure Desktop"
4) Go to Background (Why? I can't see the relation between font and background
)
5) Choose "Advanced options" (ADVANCED OPTIONS just to *change the
color*!!!!!!)
6) Choose color

I would suggest to put the color selection just besides the font selector in
kcontrol. Not many newbies would dare to get into "Advanced options" with
fear to destroy something. If somethign really had to be into "Advanced
options", that's the whole "System Adminisration" and "Security & privacy"
menus, but not changing font colors, please!

I also found that the background configuration is separate from the Desktop
menu in Appearance & Themes. This is why I couldn't find it at first in the
kcontrol. This made me think that the only way to access this options was
right-clicking on the desktop. Why not duplicate this menu and put it both in
"Desktop" and "Appearance & Themes"? Or even better: why not move the Desktop
menu into A & Themes?
