indeed... or an online FAQ keyed by error #... 

we'd want a standard format for the error numbers. we already have debug 
numbers assigned to most app/part, from there the app designer could assign 
numbers to each error as they wish, but that would likely result in long 
numbers.. probably not a large issue though...  KDE-5006-002. 5006 is kmail, 
002 would be the deveoper assigned number. this leaves, of course, the issue 
of apps that don't have a kdebug area. an alternative would be to use the app 
name: KMAIL-002 ... 

a new set of static methods in KMessageBox could accept this number as a 
parameter and put it in a standard location of the resulting dialog. two 
immediate options that come to mind would be in the lower right hand corner 
of the dialog (though it would likely end up above the buttons due to the use 
of kdialogbase) or directly under the icon on the left side of the dialog. 
looking at the KMessageBox code, doing it under the icon would be 
programatically easy.
