How does an imbalance impact usability in this case?  You might be right (I 
don't use kdm and haven't seen KDE 3.1 kdm), but looking ugly is not the 
same as looking unusable.

Perhaps it can be made easier to use without a revert.  It's too late for 
3.1, and the 3.2 development just started, so there is no urgency.

Ooh, idea:  Maybe the box should be made configurable.  Some systems might 
not want the list of users to be displayed, and it'd be a lot easier just 
to remove the box completely, than to list every user in the list of users 
to hide.
