hi

i'm still working on kexi - a database tool bringing compforts like
query-designers (see http://luci.bux.at/projects/kexi for more techical
details). the gui-query-designer works now even with complex queries and
complex relations.
but i've got a problem since the query-tool it self has got three modes:
query-designer, sql-editor and query-view. till now i've got them in the tool
bar as you can see in the screenshot http://luci.bux.at/query-toolbar.png .
but i'm not very happy with the current solution. i thought about using tabs
for each mode, but that isn't good as well since kexi has byside the mdi mode
also a sdi mode and a tabbed-sdi mode (as you can see on
http://luci.bux.at/kexi-tabbed.png) what would look very confusing to the
users because there are two levels of tabs.

i would be very pleased if you could post me a idea of bringing those actions
in a good way to the user.

thank you in advice
lucijan
