I have a few suggestions about the panel. When auto-hiding it, it gives
you a choice of how long after you 'leave it' before it goes away. The
same could be done for the panel for when you want it to show up. There
could be an extra option which asks how long you must hold the mouse at
the bottom of the screen before it shows up again. I get a bit annoyed
when it just jumps up again when I accidentally go too far down there.

Thoughts anyone.
