hello

i'm working on a database tool (kex http://luci.bux.at/projects/kexi). no i 
have a usablity related question.
If one didn't double-click on a cell to edit it, but a key was pressed, should 
i append the pressed key and change into edit mode, or should i replace whole 
data and change into edit-mode?
