I was thinking more about this issue overnight (Hmmm dreaming about KDE? I 
must need to get out more...) and I think seperating the menu's as per my 
original suggestion would be the way to go, which now that I think about it 
is pretty similar to how usability.kde.org is at the moment.

I really like the current navigation within usability.kde.org as it is, a link 
to kde.org and to usability.kde.org at the top left, a contact us on the top 
right, then the breadcrumb below the title on the left, then below that the 
usability specific sections of links, then the family of KDE sites both along 
the left side, leaving the right for content.

I'd be quite happy with the new layout using the current menu structure of 
usability.kde.org, then for kde.org itself you just need to work a little on 
the sections themselves as per your suggestions.

It would be nice to be able to get a few different prototypes done so people 
can compare the differences and not try to visualize everything, so hopefully 
this comes soon. :-)
