No, KDE caught on just fine.  In fact, KDE learned from Apple better than 
MS did: Note the lack of a border around the K menu button, making it a 
larger mouse target than the Windows start button.

The problem is that people whose *choose* to use Mac OS do so willing to 
learn their new environment.  On the other hand, we're being told that 
users of KDE aren't so willing, making me believe that some users being 
discussed here are being coerced away from MS Windows.
