not true at all. people have invested time in learning a UI and changing it on 
them discards that learning and takes them back to a less comfortable stage 
of knowledge w/regards to that interface. 

when possible, keeping interfaces as close to what they were as possible is 
good for usability (e.g. you get a perfect learning time of zero ;) .. 
sometimes this means offering a "make it look like it used to" way...

of course, when an interface is completely borked, then may be good reason to 
go and change it radically. but the time invested and comfort gained by 
learning the current interfaces should not be ignored.

yep. and if we get many more requests for such braindamage on this list i'm 
going to put that in my .sig ;-P
