I've always been reluctant to have resolution-dependant features.  Any feature 
that is automatically adjusted due to the presence of XXX conditions seems, 
in the greater picture, confusing to the end user ("why is his like that and 
mine like this?  i like that more!").  I would rather include less icons in 
kicker by default than have a setting that adjusts itself to your resolution.
