Sorry, I want to correct myself: My mother did not realize kmenu is the same
as the start menu of windows. After 1-2 minutes of clicking everywhere she
was frustrated. I helped and she was able to open a internet browser
(konqueror). At the end she didn't think kde is more complicated then
windows. However she needed some help, and this is rather bad. So I don't
think the UI design is bad after all.
kde rollouts are possible with some sort of teaching, however companies
usually don't want to pay, and admins usually don't want to take a risk. So
that's the reason,why I wrote I would hesitate for a kde rollout.

The UI is mostly not bad, just different to windows. This makes migration of
'worst case users' rather difficult

Greetings

Christoph
