We're not really on a quest to "improve the K-Menu". What we're REALLY trying
to do is to make it easier to find and start applications.
I posted this about 2 months ago with a suggestion to implement it.
Unfortunately I couldn't learn my KDE3 code fast enough to fill my two days
of vacation and therefore this suggestion was left sort of forgotten.
Here are a couple of PNG links to the images. It's a sort of "Application
Sorting" on the Panel. It's similar to a KMenu but instead it contains only
the apps that relate to a particular task, like "Office" or "Multimedia".
In this example I put all of the KOffice apps in one place so we don't waste
all this space putting every app on the panel whether they're used often or
not.
