In Konqueror and KMail, the tooltip behaviour for toolbars is as follows: 1) Tooltips appear below mouse pointer (no matter where the toolbar is). 2) Tooltips appear about 1 second after moving mouse onto icon * once the tooltip appears, if you scan the other icons, the tooltips appear immediately. This is VERY useful; if you don't know what one icon is, chances are you're not sure what the other ones are either, so you are essentially "browsing" for functionality. 3) Tooltips disappear as soon as you move the mouse off of the icon (and not simply moving the mouse). 4) Tooltips appear as a yellow box with black text inside them. The primary implementation change for Kicker would be to make the tooltip appear outside of the panel (above if it's on the bottom, or else below for all other circumstances to be consistent with KDE Toolbars). - -- - -- Irwin (Arcana) -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.0.6 (GNU/Linux) Comment: For info see http://www.gnupg.org iD8DBQE88R4E4kwAe/yBEAIRApRJAJ9C2EbVb4iAV3bKhTXrDEAL4W35wwCdHx/b EYhPa3hcViTXy3XCn8lq3j4= =FF0u -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- _______________________________________________ kde-usability mailing list kde-usability@mail.kde.org http://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/kde-usability
