Hi!

I spoke to Chris yesterday and we agreed that probably bugzilla is not the
way to go. I am almost finished with work on a custom system that somewhat
extends Jono's system, but is written from scratch.

How it is going to work: The reports are stored in MySQL on the server, and
can be both imported and exported using the XML format. Exporting will also
be possible in HTML format, of course.
Individual issues in reports can be marked as fixed, optionally with an
attachment.

We will still have report maintainers for certain programs, but the system
also allows maintainerless reports, for example if someone sends in a report
but doesn't want to be a maintainer. Every maintainer will be able to work
with them.

Maybe at this point we should work mainly using this system. Then, if someone
finds an issue, he/she contacts the report maintainer of that program. The
report maintainer accepts fixes, contacts the authors of the program etc. If
the need really arises we can work on a bugzilla(-like) system for individual
issues.

Also, one section of the site will be devoted to general KDE usability
issues. The are issues with things that appear throughout KDE, like "open
file" dialogs, menus, etc.

Best regards,
