Roland,

All my libs are in the LD_LIBRARY_PATH. And the executables are in the PATH
variable.
Isnt that enough for the configure script to find them?

I recompiled gcc with the
--with-gnu-as
flag.

Then I ran make clean on kdelibs, and ran make again (after reconfiguring),
which gave me

/bin/sh ../libtool --mode=compile --tag=CXX c++ -DHAVE_CONFIG_H -I. -I. -I..
-I../dcop -I../libltdl -I../kdecore -I../kdeui -I../kssl
-I/home1/pkamath/progs/qt-2.3.1/include
-I/home1/pkamath/progs/kde2.2/include -I/home1/pkamath/local/include
-D_REENTRANT -D_POSIX_PTHREAD_SEMANTICS -DUSE_SOLARIS -DSVR4
-I/home1/pkamath/progs/kde2.2/include  -O2 -fno-exceptions -fno-check-new
-ftemplate-depth-99 -DQT_NO_TRANSLATION -DQT_CLEAN_NAMESPACE -DQT_NO_COMPAT
-DQT_NO_ASCII_CAST  -c kdesktopwidget.cpp
c++ -DHAVE_CONFIG_H -I. -I. -I.. -I../dcop -I../libltdl -I../kdecore

-ftemplate-depth-99 -DQT_NO_TRANSLATION -DQT_CLEAN_NAMESPACE -DQT_NO_COMPAT
-DQT_NO_ASCII_CAST -c kdesktopwidget.cpp  -fPIC -DPIC -o
.libs/kdesktopwidget.o
../dcop/dcopidl/dcopidl ./ksycoca.h > ksycoca.kidl || ( rm -f ksycoca.kidl ;
/bin/false )

Tell me something. Should I just give up and wait for the binaries to be
uploaded?
