Can you check what version of g++ you are running (g++ -v), as doing 
basically the same thing here with gcc/g++ 2.95.2 worked fine (I don't now 
recall whether I had to manually edit the config template to replace 
-I/usr/openwin/include with -isystem /usr/openwin/include).

[Can anyone recall what is the minimum gcc/g++ version to compile qt? I'm 
pretty sure that 2.7.x won't do but I'm not sure about egcs].
