Hi,
We are using a similar setup and are experiencing the same problems,
especially with the Alt-F2 run command, where you type and after a few
keystrokes the cpu meter maxes out for a second or so, during which
interaction is suspended. Then most of your keystrokes (not all :( ) show
up and <enter> is converted to whitespace.
No clue as to why though... Automount might be it, and you can see the
Popup Completion messages in the xconsole while you are typing.
