Hi all,

For Frameworks5 we are looking into doing to plasma something similar to what
happened to nepomuk:

split the "plasma" subdirectory of kdelibs in a separate repository, plus
moving there also the parts related to plasma the are living in kde-runtime
right now: the "plasma" and the "desktoptheme" subdirectories. Note that this
won't affect immediate future releases since is something "after kf5"

in the end the various parts should conserve their history, but at the same
time should have it quite clean of unrelated things.

what is the preferred procedure for this?
I was thinkging about filter branch for obtaining just the desired folders
then merging the resulting repos with remotes?

(also i think would need sysadmin intervention anyways since would mean
importing at once a repo with a lot of commits, way beyond the upper limit)

Cheers,
Marco Martin
