It's highly inusual to change dependencies in the middle of a release.

But if that bug is high impact and given that we already require libcanberr=
a=20
in other software so folks possibly already have it available i don't think=
=20
it's a terrible change.

P.S: Other thing to ask is whether libcanberra not having had a release in =
12=20
years makes it a good depencency to have, but that's for another day.
