I certainly didn't intend to re-enable it. Are you sure that I did ? I can't 
see the commit, and I still see this code in file_unix.cpp :

    // temporarily disable privilege execution                                        \
  if (true) {
        return PrivilegeOperationReturnValue::failure(errcode);
    }
