OK, almost there.
All the code is now in-place to give useful searching in kdepim.

Dirk, please add the following commits to the 4.8.0 release:
kdepim-runtime => eeff6887bf794e27c7992a78b39645d41336d68
kdepim => 9cfd09b1c1f8d7473264d13ddc5c5cfb041d2d7e
kdepimlibs => 749d79dbabb11ac0c197b3c7f672e8328ade300f
