yes (hint: it's already there, built as a subpkg of kdebindings)

In VM I am running KDE 4.1.00 with installed kdelibs-4.1.0-2.fc9.i386
and I am still able to reproduce it.

The other issue will be reported to bugzilla, i'll post the # later.

Florian

For everybody, who wants to follow this issue:
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=457479

I was not able to reproduce the situation to get stuck in a loop,
however it might be fixed with the issue itself.

Florian

Subject: [kde-redhat-users] KDE 4.1 for Fedora 8
Message: 5

Hello all

I vaguely remember a poll if Fedora 8 users wanted KDE 4.1 but don't
remember the result. I for one stayed at Fedora 8 because KDE 4.0 wasn't
usable enough for my needs. KDE 4.1 looks much better from the limited
kde4daily-testing I did. If there was KDE 4.1 for Fedora 8, I still had
a chance to downgrade to KDE 3.5 if I'd find it still not good enough.

Regards,
Frank

Right now I have kde-testing/kde-unstable enabled to pick up KDE 4.1. As
4.1 migrates to the official updates repo is there anything I need to do to
avoid version conflicts?

Thanks.

stable/testing, no

unstable -> known conflicts, broken dependencies, since it includes kde4
stuff which may or may not be targetted for official F-9 inclusion,
namely kdepim-4.1.x

Confirmed. bugzilla.redhat.com please (yes, I know you commented in the
other bug already, but let's try to keep one issue per bug report).

First off, after installing the latest KDE...all I can say is WOW. Two
notes:

1) When using a deskop theme such as silicon klipper and KMix retain their
black background.
2) When I turn on Desktop Effects I notice that my CPU speed fluctuates
pretty often when using the ondemand governor. This is kind of a surprise
as I thought the GPU handled a large portion of the effects.

Has anyone else seen this?
