True, you'll likely (still) need gdm, kde'4 kdm doesn't really work yet. 
There's a very good reason these pkgs are in unstable and we haven't 
been shouting all too loudly about folks testing them.  The unresolved 
conflicts with kde3 is the biggest reason.

And, the rpm -e --nodeps is not the best of ideas if you want to preserve 
a usable system.
