Subject: [kde-redhat-users] keyboard not working in KDE
Message: 1
Ladies & gents,
Suddenly, the keyboard does not work in KDE -- it
works OK on the login screen, and it works OK in any
of the tty text consoles. But when I go into KDE, the
keyboard is dead.
About the time this happened, I was holding down the
shift key for a while, and some dialog came up that I
did not understand, and I hit "Continue".
I looked in the control center under accessibility,
and I hit Reset, but that did not fix it. I swapped
keyboards, and that did not fix it either.
I turned the computer off, and I am typing this on my
laptop.
I would be grateful for a tip or solution.
BTW, the computer is running CentOS 4 and KDE 3.5.
Thanks,
Rick Graves

You most likely activated "Slow keys".
KControl -> Acccessibility -> Keyboard Filters.
